Belford Straight Fit - 16oz Indigo Denim

The Belford are a proper high rise, straight leg jean with plenty of room all around. It's Freenote's most true straight leg fit, not too wide or too narrow, having only the tiniest bit of taper (a fraction of an inch) between the knee and leg opening. They're the sort of pant that's easy and comfortable to just exist in, fitting well, but never being restrictive. They're made from a 16oz, 100% cotton Japanese selvedge denim with a green cast indigo dye. Initially quite dark and stiff, it will soften and change color substantially over time, especially after washing, as the indigo fades. With a weight of 16oz, they're right on the cusp of what we consider to be heavyweight, definitely sturdy, but still very wearable, particularly after being broken in. The rest of the details are exactly what we've come to expect from Freenote: custom branded hardware, Japanese herringbone pocket bags, tonal "antique gold" selvedge ticker and all custom labels (woven and leather). Construction-wise there are no surprises either, with durable flat-felled seams and Freenote's signature 1/8" double needle stitching accents keeping the whole thing held together. True to size.
