The Marc Shirt is based on an antique French work shirt, originally designed for children, this "contemporary" version has been cut in adult sizes. It's a really classic short sleeve button-up shirt, with a flat hem, point collar, and a single chest pocket, as well as an angled back yoke for a bit of extra flair. The workwear origin shines through in the construction, as the Marc Shirt features triple-needle stitchwork throughout for extra durability. It's made from Kala cotton, a wild organic cotton from India that is grown without any pesticides, fertilizers, or irrigation — growing perfectly fine on just rainwater and its own natural resistance to pests and disease. Naturally short staple, a special finishing process combined with hand-weave produce a chambray fabric that is soft, light and airy. The hand is cool and dry, wearing similarly to linen. The handwoven gingham fabric uses variegated orange and forest green yarns for a uniquely high-contrast design that reads more subtly thanks to the tight check pattern. Fits true to size.
