Ortega Pant - French Corduroy

Freenote's Ortega Pant is their take on the classic carpenter's pant, cut with a comfortable high rise and a relaxed straight leg. Not too wide, they're a perfect medium that looks good with boots or sneakers, and feature comfortably roomy thighs and a relaxed top block that fits just about everyone. The French Corduroy is a totally custom fabric, inspired-by and designed to replicate French workwear textiles from the 1890s, it's a remarkably thick and plush cotton fabric with a surprising amount of give and a very structured drape. Unlike many of Freenote's other fabrics (which are usually finished with a rinse), these are a raw and unwashed fabric, which may shrink considerably if washed incorrectly. They're packed with all the usual Freenote fare (flat-felled legs, Japanese fabric pocket bags, custom metal hardware, and 1/8" double-needle sewing details), but also feature a more stripped down and minimalist take on Freenote's other Ortega pants, lacking the tool loops and opting for just one additional pocket on the righthand-thigh.
