GRÅBRODERN is a Swedish brand named with a Swedish word. Our best attempt at pronouncing it sounds something like "Groh-brud-urn," which isn't quite correct, but could probably be worse. The word translates to mean "gray brother," or "friar dressed in gray," but also refers to a neighborhood in the medieval town of Visby, on the island of Gotland in the Baltic Sea. That said, they're by no means stiff, even when brand new — they start out feeling excellent, they just continue to get better with time. Other details worth mentioning — a brass zip fly w
