Papa Nui's original “Ships” cap is designed to blend classic snapback styling with military-grade durability. Constructed with a tough frogskin camo herringbone twill crown and visor, the design features a four-panel poly mesh rear for breathability, along with a seven-position adjustment for a precise fit. Inspired by 1940s flight caps, the elongated visor offers improved glare reduction compared to a traditional trucker hat, while an embroidered Papa Nui “Atoll Defenders” patch adds a unique military-themed finishing touch.
The Original Ship's Cap is Papa Nui's take on the vintage military mesh-back ball cap, here with the front panels cut in a green-leaning 'frogskin' duck-hunter camouflage. The crown is soft and unstructured for a low, broken-in profile, the short brim is pre-curved and topstitched, and the rear panels are an open grey-olive mesh that keeps it cool. Its signature is a large oval patch on the front-left, embroidered 'ATOLL DEFENDERS / PAPA NUI' in gold thread with a gold bound edge. The camo cotton front against the mesh back gives it an authentic, lived-in look from new. It is an easy everyday cap that sits naturally with denim and field jackets.
