Antique Delft 'De Porceleyne Fles' Lamp from The Light Clinic. An antique Dutch Delft ovoid lidded jar from De Porceleyne Fles, the Royal Delft factory established in 1653 and the last surviving Delftware pottery of its kind, reborn as a table lamp. Densely hand-painted in cobalt blue on a tin-glazed white ground: full-bloom peonies, scrolling foliage and ribbon detail wrap the body and the lid in the classic seventeenth-century Dutch idiom that answered Chinese export porcelain. Finished with a mustard-amber pleated empire fabric shade and a slim brass riser. Total height including shade 44 cm, shade 25 cm diameter, golden wire. Price includes shade.
