Aqua Diablo Mezcalero
From Wool+Clay
An exquisite mezcal copita handcrafted by the renowned Oaxacan artisan Leticia Blanco and her family. This copita bears the mark of ancient traditions, its serene face design hand-polished with crystals to achieve a lustrous, yet raw finish. This meticulous process not only enhances the tactile experience but also imbues the copita with an energy that is felt with each sip. The minerals embedded within the clay, coupled with the crystal polish, create a cup that enriches the mezcal and connects you to the earth's vibrations. This copita is more than a vessel; it's a crafted sculpture that brings a new level of depth and sophistication to your mezcal moments, ensuring that every drink is a toast to the art of Oaxacan craftsmanship.
A hand-built tumbler in unglazed buff stoneware, its outer wall carrying a sculpted face: two pinched ears, two small applied eyes, and a long triangular nose panel washed in matte turquoise slip. The clay body is left raw and sandy, so the cool blue-green reads as the single deliberate colour against warm natural earthenware. Walls are straight with a slightly flared lip and a narrow recessed foot, sized as a mezcal or sipping cup.
