The artwork is represented in a Mexican paper-cut style; a traditional form of decoration where intricate cuts are used to create a window, usually symbolic of luck and happiness. In Japanese folklore, the Kirin is a mythical creature often depicted as a hybrid of a deer and a dragon, with the body of a horse. It serves as an omen of peace, purity and prosperity and is often connected to the idea of a harmonious balance between humans and nature – a concept held in high regard by Maharishi.
